Last week in the weekly blog, we looked at the advantage of getting to the top together and why it was important to succeed together in relationships. This week we want to extend it a little wider to the wider community. We want to look at why succeeding together as a community actually benefits us more than succeeding on an individual basis. The more we succeed as a community the more likely we are to succeed as a couple and as an immediate family unit.

No man is an island. You have probably heard that said. How much more important it is today with virtual friendships to form meaning full relationships deliberately with those around our community. Community disintegration has been linked to many vices not to mention spike in crime, questionable moral ethics, divorce and even unsocial behavior in youth.

With the increase in technology we are flooded with knowledge yet we seem to even be worse off at some levels than when there wasn’t such ready. So are we overloaded with information? Is it more difficult today to differentiate what needs to be done to ‘grow up’ healthy all round, that is physically, mentally, emotionally and socially.

Statistics indicate that despite the recession the personal development industry and the religious industries have been growing quite healthily in the past 5 years. The personal development industry today has far reaching influence in various areas of life today and many aspects of personal development are now used in various fortune 500 companies as well as in many aspects of school. That is a very interesting and encouraging trend. In fact if many more personal development courses and leaders introduced various courses to build communities perhaps this could be the way to lift the world out of recession. You see we are all very connected not just in our world but in the world universe. What is even more interesting is that studies have found that there is only one mind and all all the people and being in the universe are just various representations of that one mind and not exclusive as had once been found when studies first indicated the mind was in the brain. Now studies have found that the mind exists all around and inside us and not constricted to any one are or dimension of time. So what does this have to do with the aspects of developing as a community?

The more aware we are of the implication of our actions to not just our next door neighbor but to the whole world and universe the more sensitive we will be to our thoughts. Clearly everything that exists today begun with a thought first. As an example, the chair you sit in was once only a thought in someone’s mind and the same applies to each and everything you see around you.

Therefore we must be conscious of the man in the mirror and then reach out to the others, not just in our immediate family but to the very corners of the world. The more sensitive we are of our actions and how they affect others the more we will direct our thoughts toward what we want to achieve.

The most exciting part of being a member and master thinker is the development of an infinite mindset looking forward seeing the cross over within communities around the world and especially the implication in the developing countries as one who was brought up in a developing country.
